Qui spieghiamo in modo semplice quali dati trattiamo, perché, dove li conserviamo, a chi li comunichiamo e quali diritti hai, ai sensi dell’art. 13 del Regolamento UE 2016/679 (GDPR) e del D.Lgs. 196/2003.
1. Titolare del trattamento
Serhii Zhelman, persona fisica, Italia.
5. Chi vede i tuoi dati
6. reCAPTCHA (protezione dai bot)
7. Per quanto tempo conserviamo i dati
Account, profilo, pubblicazioni e foto: finché l’account esiste. Puoi eliminarlo in qualsiasi momento da Impostazioni → Elimina account: vengono cancellati profilo, contatti, gare, risposte, offerte di lavoro, foto e accesso.
Traduzioni degli annunci: cancellate insieme all’annuncio.
Contatori giornalieri (contatti, pubblicazioni): 30 giorni.
8. I tuoi diritti
Scrivi a poliapp.support@gmail.com: rispondiamo entro 30 giorni. Puoi anche presentare reclamo al Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it) o all’autorità del tuo paese.
POLI privacy notice
In vigore dal 10 ottobre 2026
POLI (the poliapp.it website and the POLI app) connects customers with professionals and companies for building work, renovation, home services, moving and cleaning, and publishes job offers. This notice explains in plain words what data we process, why, where we keep it, who we share it with and what your rights are, under Article 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and Italian law. The Italian version is the reference text.
1. Data controller
Serhii Zhelman, private individual, Italy. Privacy contact: poliapp.support@gmail.com.
No Data Protection Officer is appointed: the law does not require one for a service of this size.
2. What data we process
Account: name, e-mail, password (we never see it: Google keeps only an encrypted fingerprint), e-mail confirmation, date you accepted the rules.
Professional / company: trade, town and work area (town, up to 2 regions or a radius up to 300 km), education and experience, prices, "available / busy" status; optional: profile photo or logo, address and map location (companies), "has a CV" mark. A photo of a CV or business card is read only on your phone and is not sent to the server.
Customer: name.
Contact details (phone, e-mail, address): stored apart from the profile and not public — see section 5.
Posts: job requests (tenders), replies, job offers, photos, estimates, Market listings.
Safety data: how many contacts you opened and how many posts you made in a day (daily limits), restrictions set by moderators and their reasons, reports.
Technical data: IP address and browser/device information that Google’s servers necessarily receive when you use the site, including for the reCAPTCHA check (section 6). We use no advertising, ad trackers or visit counters.
On your device (not with us): chosen language, theme and country.
3. Purposes and legal bases
• Creating the account, showing profiles, tenders and job offers, connecting customers and professionals — performance of the contract, i.e. the terms of use (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• E-mail confirmation, daily limits, reCAPTCHA check, detecting repeated adverts, moderation — legitimate interest in protecting users from fraud, spam and bots (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Automatic translation of adverts into the site’s other languages — performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
• Answering your e-mails and requests — contract / legitimate interest.
• Keeping data when the law or an authority requires it — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
We do not sell data and do not use it for advertising.
4. Where data is kept and who processes it for us
Data is kept by Google (Google Cloud EMEA Ltd / Google Ireland Ltd), Firebase service, acting as our processor (Art. 28 GDPR) under Google’s data processing terms: database in the EU (eur3: Belgium, Netherlands); photos in the EU (Milan, Italy); sign-in and passwords with Firebase Authentication; translation function in the EU (Belgium).
Translation of adverts: the title and description of tenders and job offers are sent to Google Vertex AI (Gemini) in the EU (Belgium) to translate them into the site’s languages. Google does not use these texts to train its models. Please do not write a phone number, e-mail or address in the advert text: there is a protected field for contacts.
Transfers outside the EU: we chose storage in the EU. Google is a US company and may access data from the US for technical reasons; such transfers are covered by the EU adequacy decision (EU-US Data Privacy Framework) and the EU standard contractual clauses.
5. Who sees your data
Everyone, including visitors: a professional’s profile (name, trade, town, work area, experience, prices — figures hidden from visitors —, photo), tenders, job offers and their photos.
Registered users only: replies to tenders, prices in figures.
Phone and e-mail: nobody can get them as a list. They are seen by: the owner; whoever presses "show contact" within the daily limit (1 professional’s contact and 15 customers’ or employers’ contacts a day), enforced by the server; the professional a customer chose in their tender, who sees that customer’s contact; POLI moderators, only to handle reports.
Moderators see restriction reasons and reports.
6. reCAPTCHA (bot protection)
The site uses Google reCAPTCHA through Firebase App Check to tell people from automated programs. reCAPTCHA analyses technical information (IP, browser, behaviour on the page) and may set its own cookies. It is needed for the security of the service (legitimate interest). Google’s policies: policies.google.com/privacy and policies.google.com/terms.
7. How long we keep data
Account, profile, posts and photos: as long as the account exists. You can delete it at any time in Settings → Delete account: profile, contacts, tenders, replies, job offers, photos and sign-in are erased.
Translations of adverts: deleted with the advert.
Daily counters (contacts, posts): 30 days.
Moderator restrictions and reports: up to 12 months after they end, so that rule-breakers cannot come straight back.
Google’s technical logs: up to 30 days.
Longer only if the law or an authority requires it.
8. Your rights
At any time you can: find out what data we hold about you and get a copy; correct it (mostly directly in your profile); delete your account and data; restrict or object to processing; receive your data in a readable format (portability).
Write to poliapp.support@gmail.com — we reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it) or to the authority of your country.
9. Age
POLI is for people aged 18 and over: work and payments are agreed here.
10. Changes
If this notice changes, we update the date and, for important changes, tell you on the site and in the app.
